Emerging Women Live 2016, San Francisco – Photoshoot Raffle Winner: Leigh Miller!

June 6, 2017

Leigh Miller, raffle winner from Emerging Women Live at Saint Mary's

The wait is finally over! I am excited to announce and feature the winning recipient from the Emerging Women Live 2016 event. The Emerging Women Conference was an amazing experience, and I am thrilled to announce I will be attending and photographing again this year in Denver.   Be sure to stop by the booth for some extra SHE Experience fun!

I’m thrilled to announce that I am making a special trip to Boulder August 1-3 to do a few additional Branding Shoots, one in particular with the awesome founder of Emerging women Chantal Pierrat. So, if you didn’t win last years raffle and are still waiting for your opportunity, the time is now! I am also booking 1-2 clients on Tuesday and Wednesday in Denver before the event starts in October. I have only a few spots left so be sure to snap yours up.

Without further introduction, please meet Leigh Miller

Leigh owns a production consulting business and spends her time teaching bidding seminars for both production companies and advertising agencies, for all to further understand the dynamics and details to each side of the bidding process.

Leigh started in commercials and feature films (City Slickers, Mambo Kings).  She quickly realized her affinity for commercials, and built herself up to a producer and ultimately the Head of Production of a large international production company based in Los Angeles.

Leigh’s passion is helping people feel confident in all areas of production. She has an innate talent for teaching how to cut through all the noise and to focus on the things that matter.

Leigh has always had a love for things that were neat and orderly, but most of all efficient and effective. She holds a Masters in Leadership & Change, and is a great teacher of how to execute a project.   A true producer at heart, she combined her love for organization and budget management with her love of teaching and mentoring into a unique business where the goal is to create efficiency for each company she consults and to save them money.

Leigh has knowledge of shooting with both union & non-union crews, setting up fresh or updating a company’s existing policies for proficient systems and making sure every business or freelancer is in compliance with the many rules of filming.

Most of all, Leigh knows how to build confidence and leaders.  Her ability to solve problems and assist with company growth is one of her strongest assets.

Leigh lives in Los Angeles with her husband, three children, and their dog. In her time off she loves to cook, practice yoga, read and travel.

Feel free to check out her website and LinkedIn profile to learn more about her.

ISO guidance on future training and career opportunities in the medical field.

As many of you have known I have been on quite a healing journey. For 15 years I struggled w chronic Lyme and co-infections. What I learned during this journey is that the Western Medical system has some huge gaps. It was when I explored Functional Medicine, Natuorpathic Medicine, Oriental Medicine, etc., that I finally got answers and started my healing journey.
2 years ago I embarked on a hard core journey to finally fully heal myself and was successful! a huge shout out to Patrick Lynch at Sky Ridge Accupuncture and Oriental Medicine. A combination of impeccable diet, herbs and Accupuncture were my solution. I am sold. I am grateful to all who have guided me on my path to this point. I’ve worked w some incredible doctors.
After so many years of diving in deep, I feel I know a lot, and there yet there is so much more to learn. I want to know more. I want to help others. I want to continue to learn about Functional Medicine, Nutrition, health, etc.
So my predicament, I’m obviously not going to medical school to become a doctor. I don’t have the bandwidth for that, I wish I did. What are my alternatives?
I’ve considered becoming a nurse or a Physicians Assistant. I’ve looked at online programs for Functional Nutrition.
I have not worked in health care in any form, so I don’t come with a background in this field other than a ton of personal experience.
I’d love to interview some of my friends who work in functional medicine, NP etc., to see what types of opportunities exist as a support person in this area. Leaving the functional medicine expertise to the doctors and allowing the follow up, nutrition, wellness support to someone like me. What type of training would I need? I’d love any suggestions. I’m looking at training through a company called Functional Nutrition Lab. But again without prior background as a nurse or nutritionist, I fear I may not have all the pieces. I’d love any suggestion or guidance. Or, if you would be willing to have a call with me, I’d love to pick your brain.
