How to Take Care of Yourself in a Crisis

It's impossible to overstate how quickly and how deeply the coronavirus crisis has changed how we work and live. It's hard to take care of yourself right now. The COVID-19 outbreak affects every aspect of our lives — our health, families, careers, finances, and more — and while everyone is experiencing this moment in a different way, this much is clear: everyone is affected. And everyone needs support. That's why taking this time to …

What is Brand Photography?

Branding is so much more than just logos, colors, and fonts. Your business's visual identity consists of many different elements, from photography to social media. But what is brand photography, and why is it such a big deal? More importantly, do you really need it? Most business owners have worked hard to develop our brands and business into what they are today. It would be a shame to see an entrepreneur's reach fall short for …

Women Who Manage to be Both Entrepreneurs and Mothers

Thank you, Paige Loczi of the incredible LOCZIdesign, for an inspiring photo shoot. The month of May brings Mother's Day celebrations, so SHE is especially mindful of the phenomenon that is the mamapreneur: those women who manage to be both entrepreneurs and mothers, shaping not only their families, but also our world. Paige, who is both a mother and designer, exemplifies this powerful woman. I am so honored to have been captured by …

Celebrating Mompreneurs This Mother’s Day with SHE Photography

In honor of Mother’s Day, SHE celebrates mompreneurs. You are creative forces of nature, changing the landscape of business, art, and commerce—all the while still caring for your families. You are, mamas, the very definition of inspiring. SHE founder Suzette Hibble says “I particularly love to photograph mompreneurs because I am one. It’s not always easy to be both a mother and an entrepreneur. But photography has given me the …

My Journey of YES!

While it is true that we each have our own sacred path of Destiny to traverse, I also recognize a universality of our divine unfolding. I see so many of us desperately searching for our "Life Purpose", and aside from the "chosen few", who have "found it", suffering in its seeming absence. It's a potent paradox, because the truth is, we ARE the purpose… our very existence is Love's very own whole and complete Gift to Its Self… and yet we …

Lineage of Love

As I've traversed my journey through this human life, I've often mused that the relationship between mother and daughter is truly the richest and most complex there is.  This knowing became vivified after I gave birth to my own daughter.  No matter WHAT your relationship with your mother is, or is not, the fact remains-- you grew inside her body.  She gave you her most precious nutrients and energy, forming your beautiful body, and then …

Client Testimonials

Suzette made me feel safe to explore all of my different feminine sides. We laughed and played and she was able to capture my personality. She was able to create an atmosphere where I felt free to express myself fully. I had the most fun during my photoshoot with Suzette, she was able to create different situations where I felt free to explore the sexy, the silly and the fun sides of my personality. And the photographs are great!

Happy holidays to my friends and families around the world. Today we spend the holiday in flight from Costa Rica to LA to Bend. Not a traditional celebration, but feeling the spirit and much gratitude in my heart. I am grateful for my wonderful family, who make traveling together fun and easy. We had an easy going, connected trip. Thank you to my hard working husband for creating this opportunity for us. We feel the love! Love to all! Happy holidays however it is you celebrate.
Video walk through of our shared home in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. Now available on AirBnB.

Surf lesson in Jacó. So much fun.
Costa Rica seems to warrant an early rise. My body doesn’t recognize that the clocks in Costa Rica are 2 hours later than the clocks in Bend, OR. I still seem to arrise 2 hours earlier. This morning my eyes popped open at 4:45am, 2:45am in Bend. I’m usually asleep by 10, so I’m getting sufficient rest. I am ready to soak in all the day has to offer.

I start this morning on the roof top patio in silence (other than the array of chirping birds and the hustle of the world beginning to stir around me in the distance) sipping my coffee and taking a moment to go inward. Followed by my outward expression here on FB land.

I love that my Bend counterparts are shoveling show and warming their bones up bye a fire. While I sit here in the tropical moist heat.

I’m constantly amazed at how adaptable humans can be. This is my life now, at least for this moment. Sometimes it feels like forever. I’ve always thought one could drop me most anywhere in the world and I would adapt quickly. It’s certainly not hard to adapt to life here in, Costa Rica.

What are you all up to today?

May you all relish in the delight of your day, however it is you are spending it.
Chilling beachside with a passion fruit smoothie, watching my family boogie board in the surf. We’re taking it super slow on this trip and enjoying the pace.

Maria and I began the day with yoga at the local yoga retreat center, walked home, and now at the beach with the fam for a couple hours. There is a lazy sloth above my head, enjoying a tree top nap, reminding me to take it slow, que tranquillo.

Had an amazing body work session last night, under that stars of our roof top patio. Uncovered and healed old deep wounds, that held me wound up and rigid for years. Today I am lighter in my body, releasing a lifetime of tension. Thank you Nikki Pava for the referral.

Lunch and a lazy siesta this afternoon followed by lobster tacos.
