to announce our GoldieBlox photo shoot. Product photography is an important part of our visually-driven consumer culture, but sometimes, photographers are lucky enough to shoot for companies that speak to their own hearts. And what could be more inspiring than the GoldieBlox mission to build award-winning construction toys for girls and equalize the playing fields of science, math and engineering. In the company’s own words: “In a world where men largely outnumber women in science, technology, engineering and math, girls lose interest in these subjects as early as age 8. Construction toys develop an early interest in these subjects, but for over a hundred years, they’ve been considered ‘boys’ toys.’ GoldieBlox is determined to change the equation. We aim to disrupt the pink aisle and inspire the future generation of female engineers.”
With a mission like that, it’s pretty hard not to get inspired, and we were. After all, SHE’s own mission to inspire and be inspired by women, lines up perfectly with GoldieBlox—a symmetry almost as perfect as two blocks coming together in the hands of a little girl as she plans and constructs a building.
